FAC’s Learning Program offers a wide range of courses throughout the year. All courses are conducted by professional practicing artists in the beautiful studios of FAC. Our program aims to teach and develop new and existing skills and to inspire. The courses are designed to be stimulating and engaging, in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
All courses are conducted on site at Fremantle Arts Centre, in one of seven fully equipped studio spaces.
Term 2 2013
Kids Holiday Classes: Monday 22 April - Friday 3 May
Adult Term: Monday 6 May - Sunday 7 July
The program, which takes place over four terms a year, is comprised of:
Ongoing Courses for Adults
Courses run from three to nine weeks in duration, offered in areas including drawing, painting, jewellery, sculpture, ceramics, contemporary dance, photography, textiles and printmaking.
Weekday classes take place Monday – Friday 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Weeknight classes are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 6pm to 9pm.
Weekend classes are Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 5pm.
Weekend Workshops for Adults
These workshops are either one or two days in duration, running Saturdays and Sundays, 10am to 4pm.
Kids Holiday Program
These are one-off classes for kids aged between 5 and 13 years in subjects including painting, music, sculpture, street art and animation. Running throughout school holidays, the program offers a diverse range of arts based activities, immersing kids in art in a fun and stimulating manner.
Art for Teens
FAC offers a specialised program tailored at young adults aged 13-18. These one-off workshops and short courses run on weekends and weekday evenings during the school term, offering both practical elements and serving to inspire and introduce teens to various creative media.
FAC is a heritage listed building with access limitations. If you have any special requirements please contact FAC Reception before enrolling in a course.
